Privacy Policy

LogicBench is a browser-based digital logic and circuit simulator at logicbench.online, operated by its founder, Muhammad Ibrahim, who is responsible for this site and for how personal information is handled on it. Questions about this policy, or requests about your data, can be sent to logicbench.support@gmail.com.

The public simulator and the Digital Logic Suite tools run in your browser. Circuits, sketches and tool inputs you create are not uploaded to our servers unless you choose to send them: by using a LogicBench Classroom account (see below) or by including them in a message through the contact form. A few small preferences, such as the wire-routing setting, are stored in your browser’s local storage or session storage on your own device.

LogicBench relies on a small number of outside providers. Analytics, advertising and payment providers are named below, because their own terms require it or because they handle your information independently of us. Providers that simply host and run the site on our behalf are described by what they do rather than by name, as data protection law allows. Named services

• Google Analytics — usage statistics such as pages visited, session length, device and browser type and approximate location.
• Microsoft Clarity — session behaviour such as clicks, scrolling and navigation, used to find usability problems. Third parties such as Microsoft may collect data from visitors through this service and handle it under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can stop it by blocking its scripts in your browser or with a content blocker.
• Google AdSense — may show ads on some pages of this site (not inside the simulator itself). Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. • Polar and Stripe — independent payment providers that process voluntary support payments and any paid plans. You enter payment details on their pages; we do not receive or store card numbers. Their handling of your payment information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies (Polar, Stripe), and they are responsible for the security of that information.
• YouTube — if a page embeds a YouTube video, YouTube (Google) may set cookies when the video is loaded or played.

Providers that act on our behalf

• Product analytics provider — page views and events such as which simulator or suite tool buttons are used.
• Hosting and content-delivery provider — serves the site and therefore receives standard request data (IP address, browser and device information) when pages load.
• Contact-form delivery service — delivers messages sent through the contact form: your name, email address and message.
• Account database and sign-in provider — used only by LogicBench Classroom accounts: stores account and classroom data (see below).
• Email delivery provider — sends account and subscription emails such as sign-up confirmation and password reset.

These providers process information only to provide their service to us and under their own privacy terms.

Classroom is optional and separate from the free public simulator, which needs no account. If you create a Classroom account, we store your email address, display name, role (teacher or student), the classrooms you belong to, and the circuits you save or submit for assignments, with timestamps. When you create an account we also record which version of the Terms of Use you accepted and when, as evidence of that acceptance. Teachers can see the submissions of students in their own classrooms. A student can leave a classroom at any time, which permanently deletes their membership and saved work in that classroom. You can also ask for your account and its data to be deleted by emailing the address above.

Analytics and advertising services listed above use cookies and similar identifiers to recognise a browser, measure use of the site and, for AdSense, serve and measure ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the simulator will still work, although some analytics and ad features will not.

• Personalised ads can be switched off at Google Ads Settings, and many other ad networks via the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.
• Google Analytics can be disabled with Google’s browser add-on.
• You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you (contact form messages and Classroom accounts) by emailing logicbench.support@gmail.com.

LogicBench is intended for general audiences, including students learning digital logic design, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

The services above operate internationally, so information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States.

The site may link to outside resources, such as YouTube videos or the LogicBench WhatsApp community. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
